24th Day of Chinese Lunar Year
Chinese traditional festival.
Today is the 24th day of Chinese Lunar Year. Traditionally it is the day for spring cleaning and praying to the ancestors. After these family rituals all family members would gather for a "steamboat"dinner much like the eve of Chinese New Year, thus it is called"Little Chinese New Year". Northern part of China usually celebrated the day before. Some other parts celebrated on the 15th day of Chinese New Year.
